American Idol needs to stop

Thank god this is the last year that I have to watch this (Simon wont be there next year so I wont be either). The gay banter between Ryan and Simon is stupid. Ryan just tries to start shit and he knows that this is the last year he will have Simon there and that gives him the sads. Anyway, I laugh every time that Simon can barely contain his contempt for Kara when she complains about contestants not really connecting with the song and not really "feeling it". I almost peed when Simon asked her if she wanted him to come out on stage with a tank because the song was about war. Meanwhile, she is trying her hardest to take Paula's spot as Simons number one hoe. She is always all up in his business and it just comes of desperate that she doesnt want to be left behind while Simon goes off to X Factor with Paula and they collectivly shit all over Idol. Elen needs a new hair style. Tim Urban needs a new hair style, hes had that since birth. Does he have a weird forehead or hair line or something????

First of all, what kind of GD outfit do they put Serena in??? Its almost laughable. Second of all, you cannot have a party in a freshman dorm that serves alcohol. I dont care how much money you have, NYU would never allow that, nor would any other school. That is just ridiculous. Third, almost ALL plots on this show could be avoided if people actually TALKED to each other. Instead, you have people running around trying to set things up for people behind their backs instead of just telling them whats going on. Fourth, what the hell is up with Jennys ratty ass extentions? Its like she hired Britney Spears' hair stylist (ps I love Britney). Anyway, this show is just increasingly going off the deep end. Im ashamed that I still watch it, but Im hoping that it will get better. I have to say that if Vanessa and Dan dont get their shit together and stop being so dreadfully boring, they need to be written off the show.....

Everyone is so willing to just accept the fact that they have this destiny or mission to be on the island. No one knows what it is or anything. They have all been beat to shit and there are only a select few that haven't been killed and yet somehow they are all willing to accept that they have a destiny on the island. Saywer is the only realistic one there. If I were one of them, it would be him who I would most closely resemble. I would take the "Im sick of this shit, Im ready to get the hell off NOW" stance, and that seems to be the one he is taking. Jack just suddenly accepting everything? Kate thinking shes on a mission to get Claire back with her son (I guess they needed something for her to do than create problems and stand in everyones way) is just stupid. Everyone just needs to get the fuck out.

I didn't watch Big Love that much when it first started, but I have recently gotten into it. Last season and this season. While this season hasn't been as good as lasts, I am still really enjoying it.

I LOVE Chloe Sevigny, she is consistently the best and funniest part of that show. I love when she dresses skanky for no reason and she looked hella good when she cut her hair last night. Im not sure where they can go from here by them revealing themselves, Bill could be removed from office Im sure...no wonder Amanda Seyfried left, they weren't using her anyway. Shes pretty, so she will be missed. Barb was kind of getting on my nerves a bit and Margine is always fun. A little dumb sometimes but still fun.

Side bar, when the grandma cut that dudes arm off. It was awesome.

Just a guess, but on IMDB she is listed as being (credit only) on the last episodes shes been gone for except for tonight's where she is just listed normally. I really hope she comes back, she was always my favorite member of the team, plus shes super hot!! I really hate 13 and Chase really serves no purpose, Foreman really doesnt do anything either. I wish they would just have the old team back and be down with it. I know she wont be on for too many shows because she is on Broadway and doesnt have the time, but maybe next year....or just more Cuddy!!!

Parenthood is a broke Brothers & Sisters

Ok let me just come out and say it, this couldn't be more of a Brothers and Sisters rip off if they called it Brothers and Sisters 2. I wanted to like the show because I really like Lorelai Gilmore and Nate Fisher but this show just isnt very good. One thing it has going against it is that its on NBC. I really hate the way NBC films their shows. They are always in bright colors. I miss the days of ER when it their shows actually looked like real life. NBC needs to take a page out of Fox's book about how to shoot an hour long drama. Even ABC does it better. Anyway, I digress, there was so much going on in this episode that it all just seemed thrown together. Lets see how many things we can put out there to make people care and keep watching! They are trying so hard to be The Walkers and they just cant. No one does a dinner party throw down like they do and I'm sorry but Coach is no Sally Field.

Its terrible that Maura Tierney got sick and had to pull out, but I couldnt help but picture her in the role she was supposed to have and wonder if she would have made the show better. I am kind of relieved now that she isn't in the show because now she can go be in something better when she recovers. I don't see this show lasting very long, but NBC doesn't really have anything else besides Thursdays going for it, so it may just last.

The VMAs Need To Be Canceled

Does anyone else remember when the VMAs were actually cool and relevant? When they actually put everyone in one auditorium, had awesome performances and everyone showed up? Those were the days.... Now the VMAs are trying TOO HARD to be cool. MTV thinks we need performances at ALL TIMES going on in 5 different places. What happened to putting people on the main stage and letting them fucking rock it? Britney Spears gave 4 awesome performances in the old format, 2003 was the last year (the one with Madona) and then when they changed it, look what happened. Someone needs to tell MTV that they really arent as cool and fresh as they think they are being. The show just looks confused and disorganized. How trashy does it look to have the PCDs accept an award on the floor of the auditorium huddled around a mic right in front of the audience? This looked like a high school production as opposed to a million dollar special. How many people were in that auditorium last night? 100? Thats what it looked like. That stage was so small, no wonder only 3 out of the 10 or so performers actually used it. So please MTV, go back to what you know, what works, and stop trying so hard, its not working.

24 has stopped filming AGAIN! They are going to rethink things they claim but the November prequel wont be affected. They had a WHOLE YEAR to think about things during the writers strike, that wasnt good enough? They think a few more months is going to make it better now?

"We just couldn't get this direction to work, and we found another one that we liked better, so we wound up retooling it. ... This show is dangerously close to losing its fans. I was a fan from the begining and I didnt watch last season because it just wanst very good and delays in production are never a good sign.

Prison Break...

If any show was in need of a title change, this is the show. Michael even states in the first episode that they are a long way from where they started. Aint that the truth. I stopped watching last season after they killed Sarah. There was just no point in watching the show for me anymore since the only characters I cared about were Michael and Sarah. But when I heard that she was coming back I decided to tune in. They just kinda threw away the reason she was alive. I mean he saw a head, but it could have been anyone!! But I digress...the premiere was pretty good. I liked how all Michael cared about was finding Sarah and that they addressed it pretty quickly. I hate T-Bag and want him dead. Lincoln still goes around without buttoning his shirt and so on and so on, things really havent changed. The only issue I had was with the fact that the producers must think that tatoo removal is a one stop shop. It takes MONTHS and many sessions to remove a tatoo and even then there is somewhat of a scar left. Im sure Michael has no scars. The previews for this season look good. I looks like they are going to have fun this year with it, which is what I think they should do. If this is the last year, they need to have some fun and not make it all melodramatic. Seeing Sarah all sexed up indicates that something fun is going down. Thoughts?

New Idol Judge

Well it looks like they are already trying to shake things up. There is going to be a 4th judge this season. Her name is Kara DioGuardi and she is a singer/songwriter. Ive never liked the idea of adding a 4th judge. Yea we already know what the other three are going to say before they say it but no body likes change. Now the judging process is going to take 4 hours every night and Simon is just going to get pissed. What if there is a tie now? 2v2?? How do they decide? Does one of Paula's personalities get to choose? You know those two are going to be fighting like, i dunno people who fight then Paula will demand she be fired and then all hell will break loose. To Change The Drinking Age Or Not To Change The Drinking Age?

That is the question. I know this isnt TV related but Ive been reading so much about this topic latley that I figured people care about it. MSN just posted an article fueling the debate. I am just recently out of college myself and I have seen first hand underage drinking and how it can get out of controll. Some guy in that article brings up a good point he says:

"In college, you're free for the first time ever. There are no rules," said Walter Ray-Dulany, a fifth-year doctoral student at the University of Maryland in College Park. "In high school, there are rules. And maybe it's better to start drinking when there are rules."

I am inclined to agree with him. If people start drinking earlier then they might get used to it by college and not lose their shit when they first get a taste of freedom. Also, I agree with the argument that if you can go to war at 18, you should be able to drink. Thoughts?

Well, hmmm, this is the newest cast member of SNL, his name is Bobby Moynihan. Yes this is the best picture (I googled him and this is the ONLY picture). Why are they highering guys? Dont they have like 3 girls? And with Amy Poehler leaving the show, I think that drops the number down to 2. Personally, they could higher everyone in the world and this show would still struggle to come up with 10 minutes of funny television. Weekend Update has always been the savior of this show for me, everything else is just childish. Once Tina Fey and Mia Rudolph left, it was pretty much downhill from there, so maybe Amy made the right decision.

Shows You May Have Forgotten

Ill be adding shows that have been cancelled too soon and may have missed their audience from time to time here. The first show you may have forggoten or overlooked is Clone High. This show is absolutely brilliant. It was on MTV for one year and was about clones of famous people throughout history in high school. It may sound stupid but with characters like Cleopatra, JFK, Abe Lincoln, Joan of Arc and Ghandi, its pretty hard to not laugh. On top of all that, the characters are voiced by the cast of Scrubs. I suggest you pick it up as soon as you can!

Bring House's Team Back

As much as I like a show when it tries to not just coast through, I think its time we get House's original team back. It was fun at first and 13 is hot but enough is enough. Cameron and Chase had NOTHING to do last season. Cutner and Talb are dull and everyone is just a copy of the original 3. I loved Amber as you may have read but its time to just pretend none of those new things ever happend.

Whos with me? I'm already sick of this shit. The good thing is, that since The CW made the brilliant decision not to let anyone see it before it premiers then it probably sucks. YAY! I think the producers are squandering a golden opportunity here. Hear me out: What they should have done is brought back the whole cast and made it a 90210 ten years later thing or however long it has been and turned it into a desperate housewives type of show. Now that's entertainment!! The only reason people are going to tune in is to see Shannen, Jenni and perhaps later Tori throw down, but apparently that isnt happening either (see below). I dont plan to watch this show, but I would like to see those 3 on it so I might have to.

Thats the story. Reports are saying that Shannen and Jennie Garth are actually getting along! WHAT? Thats not the Brenda Walsh we all know and love. Didnt these two chicks get into a fist fight as teenagers? Thats what the people want to see!! They are apparently joking around and giggling and not ripping each others hair out! Can you belive it?? Give her a few days before shes out of there for threatening to leave if one of the teenage stars gets more attention than her.

CUT THROAT BITCH!

Amber on House (Anne Dudek) was by far the best character on TV last season. She was pitch perfect as the do anything to get ahead applicant for a position on House's team. When she got fired I was pissed because she was my favorite character of the new ones they brought in but when they brought her back I thought it was brilliant. I loved how they made her interact with House as an equal and their back and forth. She was good for laughs whenever she was on screen. When they killed her off (one second, I need a minute to compose myself......) ok, when they killed her off, I was so pissed at the show. Her performace was heart breaking and I think its going to change the way House is in the next coming season. I only wish that they some how find a way to bring her back, as House's conscience or something. Im going to lead the charge of the BRING AMBER BACK! campaign! Whos with me?

Britney To Perform at VMAs?

Im a fan of Britney, always have been, so watching her stumble through a "performance" last year was somewhat painful as Im sure it was for everyone else too. She seems to be getting her life back together now and between all those promos that are actually quite funny and her getting back into shape it seems like things are looking up and that it is more than likely that she will be performing. Inside soucres say she is going to put on a show. I think MTV would be crazy not to let her do it if she does indeed want to, she has 3 nominations this year and has never won, but I dont think she can survive a repeat performance of last year. Heres hoping she is back to top form!! Do you want to see Britney back on the VMAs?

For the first week I was all about the Olympics and watching Phelps and Gymnastics every night and not spoiling the results. However, now that he is finished swimming and the girls are done owning faces Im kind of over it. Besides Misty May and Kerri Walsh winning gold, there really isnt anything left that I care about. Ive even started spoiling the results because lets be honest, I couldnt not get online between 4 and 12 am every night here on the west cost anymore. And I thought it was supposed to be LIVE??? HA thats a different complaint. So I ask, is anyone still watching as intently as they were during the first week?

The Hill's Tomfoolery

Ok let me first just say that I dont really understand The Hills. I watched the first season or so and kept up with it spiraticaly after that and then basically let the 3rd season fall by the wayside. That being said, I did watch the premiere on Monday and it was hillarious. I think I paused on Laurens face (pictured above) about 100 times because I couldnt stop laughing. I dont mind Lauren (I wont be calling her L.C) and I kind of actually like Whitney, even with their awkward staged conversations aside, but the rest of the cast just kills me. The set up confrontations to whatever is going on with Heidi and Spencer (do they really think we buy anything they do anymore??) I just cant stand. I read that the raitings have gone down so maybe its time to let the show go....
